Holiday fever is in full swing. Shoppers are at the mall and perusing online looking for the perfect gifts to buy for their family members and friends. What happens when you hit a roadblock though? Have you ever been faced with not being able to figure out just what to get certain people on your gift list? It seems like every year there are a few people on my list that I have to “rack” my brain to figure out what to get them. Contemplating this dilemma led me to get my creative juices flowing. So I’ve come up with How to Find Unique Christmas Gifts in order to help myself and you all too with seeking out the solution to this problem.
As the holidays begin to roll around my hunt begins for creative gift giving ideas. Now this is not always an easy task to complete but challenges are par for the course around the holidays. Quite frankly the search is part of the fun of it all. I know many of you also like to give originally inspired presents for your Christmas list and not just the same old same old type gifts.
3 Tips for finding Unique Christmas Gifts ideas
In the spirit of being imaginative and resourceful here 3 tips to assist you when choosing unusual holiday presents for those on your list that you need help with the most.
1. Get Nostalgic – you know your family and friends better than anyone. Think back to a time when they described being the “best time” in their lives.
• Find a music CD or a movie DVD that they’ve always enjoyed but don’t have in their collection that reminds them of those carefree days of long ago.
• Find a replica of a toy long forgotten that they either had as a child or wanted but never received for Christmas.
2. Get Sentimental – think about a happy event that you’ve shared with the gift recipient.
• Memorialize the occasion with a “Then” and “Now” photo of the two of you. Frame the photo with a caption that reads something like, “See how far we’ve come together”.
• Gather old photos of family and friends and make a small scrapbook of the experiences you all have shared together.
• Get all your home movies put on a DVD and watch together on Christmas Day.
3. Get Personal – who doesn’t like to see their names immortalized? Why not give loved ones a present with their names embedded on the gift?
• College students or those in business could use an engraved pen and pencil set.
• Perhaps the same group would like a name plate or plague for their desk or wall with their title of recognition.
• A more comforting choice would be a warm throw with their name embroidered on the blanket. Remembering the love you showed them each time they wrap up in it.
• Got a sports fan in your midst? How about a jersey or jacket from their favorite sports team with their name on the back.
